Enchanted Nature Tours inc. is offering a one-day intensive course. We will discuss the life cycle and role of fungi in the ecosystem. Anatomy will be covered in the context of identifying edible and poisonous mushrooms that live in our region. We will finish out the day with cultivation techniques, a cooking demonstration and tasting. The presentations include powerpoint slides, hands on exhibits, and a cooking demonstration.
Lunch and handbook is included. Every student will create and take home an inoculated log to grow their own mushrooms (a $25.00 value).

The Necessary Mercantile is located in the heart of Churchville, Virginia. The Necessary carries beekeeping supplies, White's Wayside food products, locally raised grass fed beef, maps, books, local honey, and much more. The building also has nature exhibits and is staffed by knowledgable, caring people.
